Tip: For transparent GIFs, pick the background that the GIF will sit on (white for most emails). Edges blend into it and look smooth.

Size and frame rate

256 px at 20 fps suits chats and email. Use 512 px for slides. Raise the frame rate for fast motions like spin and shake; lower it to keep files small.
